Christmas has come and gone. And it is Christmas for the BigCat. It started out like getting a bunny suit instead of a Red Rider BB gun. Our
Cats just fell short against that bunch from Dallas. The D line and the linebackers have got to step up. A “bad list” performance. Then there
is Pep. He looked really good. But it was just not enough. Also that ref who tossed the flag on Smitty turned out to be the Grinch. And the
video guys who review the Dallas field goal that was blocked by Lucas. Well guys like that are bound for a bag of switches or a lump of coal. I
could see it was blocked from the other end of the stadium with my clearance aisle binoculars

Many of the tailgating crew cast the blame of the loss on the BigCat for a fumble on the two beer walk to the stadium. It was the first fumble all
year and I only spilled one of the two. It was still a fumble lost and not a good sign. But hey Im a defensive player. I need a playoff
opportunity to reject the fumbler tag.
The Black and Blue Christmas tree was in all its glory. And you cannot have a blue aluminum Christmas tree with Black balls without using
some duck tape somewhere. Yep had to strap it down cause of the wind. Under the tree, Santa left some gifts for the Cowbaby fans… Cans
of Whip Ass. Problem was we forgot the can opener
Then we headed home and off to bed with vision of Vick dancing in my head. A rough night. But when the sun rose and Christmas day
greeted Brenda and the BigCat life was good again. I thought about some kids somewhere got some bikes. Thanks to all you guys for that
one. That’s a thought that will carry you though a tough loss to the Cowgirls. We opened our gifts..and hit the road north.
Hanging out with the family in Va. Was a great time. I arrived at my brother’s (who is 10 years my senior). estate and he took me outback to
see the prize he took earlier in the day. A nice whitetail doe was hanging from her heals getting ready to shed her pajamas. “You got that
one” I asked to the only other non hunter in the family” .
“Yep got her this morning” as he stuck out his chest with pride.
“ So whats the deal. You don’t even hunt”, I asked.
“ I got that one without firing a shot, or sitting in a tree stand, or donning some deer urine on the boots.” He boasted
“ What gives …I get it, Road kill… Are you fighting back. ( Deer have hit two of my brothers cars in the last couple of months), I challenged.
“Well not really. On the way to the dump I saw about 5 of them running down the road. I slow to down so they would not attack the only undeer
damaged vehicle I have left. They decided to hop the fence and a couple of them didn’t make it. One of them stayed down. I walked up to it
an poked it with a stick. Didn’t move but it was still alive. I called Daniel and James (the real hunters) and told them the might need to take
care of it if it was still there when I made my return trip from the dump. On the way back I stopped at the same spot and it was still there, but no
longer breathing. So I pulled it on the back of the truck… So technically its not road kill.” He concluded
“That’s right and you may have actually delivered the kill shot with that stick” I exclaimed in admiration of my brother’s accomplishments .
Hey and that was the start of Christmas… it only got better. And the interesting thing is that we are not from West Virginia, only educated
there. The boys in McConnelsburg will love that story. You guys at JLG really should think about sponsoring BigCat Tailgating.
One other great thing about Christmas is I got my nephew, Alex. into a Jake Delhomme jersey. He enjoyed doing his Heisman pose with a
guarantee he would make the Internet. Best part is he lives in northern Va. And in an exclusive Washington Redskin home. I smiled as he
posed in the black and blue and thought, it’s good to get one on the road. I think my brother agrees.
We need to get one on the road on Sunday.
Keep Pounding.
BigCat.
