BigCat Tailgating Plays Host  to
Hokie Nation
Hokie Juice

It truly is great to fuse  two fantastic forces under in the name of world
peace.  But thats not what we did over the weekend.  Fusion, fantastic
forces yep but not so much on the world peace.  Hokie Nation joined
BigCat Tailgating for a special even destined for the ages.  The BigCats
Family made the pilgrimage from various parts of Va. Including my
brother , the OldCat  and  his wife the CourgarCat  from Lost Corner Va.
And my two nephews from Blacksburg(Clay) and Berryville(James).  Clay
, the one in school at Va. Tech surround himself with one of the most
prolific tailgating crews the Hokies have assembled in years.  Paul,
Whitney, and Nick took part in a weekend fiesta of football and adult
beverages that will truly mark a financial up tick for the beer industry.
Kegs and cases and beer pong championships and all that was Friday
night at Sean's A-town Mansion. Jame's brought his beautiful girl friend
from JMU, Laura.  Also in tow was Duce- Laura's 4 week old Pug.
Slugger poops bigger than Duce, but I digress...

The young'ens then awoke and navigated to downtown Charlotte for the
main event. BigCat Tailgating - Hokie style.  We had to call an audible at
the line, as the ECU clan had presold the entire tailgating lot.  So right off
the bat we lost our home field advantage.

Moving from the penthouse of tailgating to the outhouse was just
something we had to play through.  We set up in a dirt lot next to the
railroad track, which I'm sure at one time doubled as a hobo camp.
Tossed up the tents, pulled the pork, and d prepared a feast.  Melissa
and Sparks brought their Hokie crew including "the with child" Heidi and
Michael, and Heidi's sister, Meagan, who made a Bowl Championship
Sausa that the boys were scrambling to scoop.

Kevin and I were there taking note of what big time college football
tailgating looks like.  Charlotte 49ers in 2010... It could happen and we
will be there.

We even prepared a little special toast for the crew.  Switching from the
Blue panther juice to the orange Hokie juice.  A special recipe handed
down to me from Frank Beamers yard man, which featured  Carolina
Moonshine.   A salute to Hokie nation and it was time for the two beer
walk, and then paying homage to the Great Sam Mills.  "You don't pay
homage before entering the stadium ,  your defense will play like crap."

Unfortunately there is no monument to offense or special teams. Thats
what the Boys from Blacksburg needed.  It was bad and hot.  So hot, my
Goldbond application got swept away by a river of sweat.

But what a good time. Family, Friends, and Football... A perfect weekend.
