My opiate-like optimism of our win over the Sleeping Giants was self corrected by the stark reality of rookie
quarterback, new coach, limited practices, injured players and general crappy play of a 2-14 team in last
nights splashing by the Dolphins. It was really bad. Similar to last year but different. Last year I pretty
much knew that no one on the team would do anything specular. After the magic show with the Giants I’m
thinking “the Cats are going to do something here”. It kept it interesting… but no… nothing. Which in a
twisted way I more fun. I guess.
At one point I started to question the defensive line’s man hood. I began to think they are afraid of Bush
(22). When Bush was near, they shrank instead of attacking like a manly defensive line would. I know there
are a lot of men out there that have been whipped by Bush, but never enough as to turn their backs and run
the other way. That can’t happen. But that’s the way it appeared. Maybe there is a big change since,
Bush is now running all over South Beach in Miami. Maybe Bush just wants to glide along the beach and
never be touched. That just can’t happen. Our D- line has to grab Bush every chance they get and bang
the hell out of Bush to the point that Reggie does not want to walk on the Beach the next day.
