| Q and A with Michelle Long Head Coach MIllbrook High School 1. What traits does Casey possess that you think will make her a good ambassador for the USA in international completion? Casey has a never quit attitude. She also leads by example, she never asks her team to do something that she won’t or can’t do. Casey goes at 100% each and every time that she steps onto the field. Casey is exactly what people envision when they think USA softball. 2. How has Casey helped Millbrook be successful ? Casey has been the backbone of our outfield since day one that she stepped onto the field. Being successful, I think is engrained in her. From the very first day that I met Casey she impressed me with how much she wanted to learn and how much she was willing to do in order to be the best that she can be. Casey knows that sometimes she needs to be in charge, verbally; but most times she knows that she needs to be in charge by her actions. Casey has been my table setter since year two she was on the team. She is put in that position because she will get on base, and as I like to tell her ,”by hook or by crook”, basically however she needs to do it, I need her on base. 3, What have you enjoyed most about coaching and working with Casey? Her never quit attitude, her emotion, her smile, her work ethic, her attention to detail and her sportsmanship. 4. What is something you find unique about Casey? Her game sense, she always seems to know what is going to happen before it actually happens. She makes sure that everyone around her knows what is going to happen. |
